IS GOING NUDE STOPPING YOUR FROM GETTING A SPRAY TAN?
So you love the idea of being a bronzed goddess but you're thinking how the hell do I strip down in front of a complete stranger?
For many women, this is a common fear and even for experienced spray tanners, visiting a new spray tan studio can be quite daunting.
I’m going to break it down, so you know what to wear and expect before, during and after your spray tanning experience.
Comfort comes first - Loose, comfortable clothing is a must. Most people arrive at their appointment wearing what they’ll throw on after the tan. But if you’re coming from work or have been out, make sure you bring those clothes with you to put on afterwards. Baggy t-shirts and pants or a skirt and dress are great and preferably if it’s dark coloured. You can wear a bra to your appointment, however, if possible be prepared to go home without one.
No jewellery or accessories needed - Wearing jewellery can leave lines and marks, so it’s best to leave these items at home. Small stud earrings are fine.
Avoid socks and shoes - Tight socks and closed shoes will ruin that tan on your feet. It’s best to wear something easy to slip on to and from your appointment.
During your appointment, your artist will ask you a few questions as it’s important to know what you’re tanning for and what your expectations are. One of the questions will be, would you like a disposable g-string.
Now I’ll be honest, these paper g-strings don’t leave much to the imagination however that’s the point. There is just enough coverage where it matters without leaving thick tan lines. You can choose to wear your own underwear or g-string if that makes you feel more comfortable.
In regard to going topless, I give my clients the choice of going nude (which is great if you’re planning on wearing strapless tops/dresses) or wearing their bra with the straps tucked into the side.
After your spray tan, you will throw on those loose, baggy clothes and slip-on sandals.
Going nude or partly nude is part of the spray tanning experience and It’s important to understand that as a professional spray tan artist, I am not here to judge you or make you feel uncomfortable in any way and that my ultimate goal is to ensure I give you a flawless, glowing spray tan and the best tanning experience ever!
