THE BEST UNDERRATED FOUNDATION YOU NEED TO TRY
With summer approaching it’s a great time to switch up your regular foundation. Keeping makeup on during the heat is always a challenge however I’ve finally found a foundation that will last through the heat.
MAC Face & Body Foundation has been in my kit for years, usually reserved for those with perfect skin, requiring a very natural ‘looks like skin’ look.
As I’m usually a full coverage kinda gal, I stayed away from what seemed to be the sheer coverage of MAC Face & Body.
Recently my skin has been pretty good and my once fave foundation seemed too much for me, so I decided to give MAC Face & Body a go again.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good it made my skin look without looking heavy and fake.
I use the shade C4 which is perfect for when I’m spray-tanned however because of its sheerness, still seems to work when I’m not tanned by blending well at the jawline and neck.
The formula is thin and watery compared to most foundations. As it is a water-based foundation, it’s best applied with a water-based primer. It’s super lightweight and the best part is it’s water-resistant.
How I apply it:
This is one of those foundations that need the good old fashion fingertips to apply. I start with a thin layer and slowly build it up to medium coverage.
I have oily skin and get shiny quickly so setting this foundation (or any) is a must if you’re also oily. I use either MAC Studio Fix Powder or RMCA No Powder powder.
This foundation is definitely underrated and worth having in your kit for those days you want the ‘your skin but better’ look.
There are 12 shades of MAC Face & Body on the Mac Cosmetics website and it retails at $54 for a 50ml.
